Course on IPR may be introduced in Tech Syllabus

The government is planning to include Intellectual Property Right (IPR) as a techno-legal subject in the curriculum of all engineering and polytechnic institutes in the state.

A K Pandey, the additional chief secretary in-charge of the science and technology department, on Saturday said the course could be included in the first year of engineering and diploma engineering courses in the next session.

Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a day-long national workshop on IPR organized by BIT Sindri, Pandey said the syllabus would be decided on the basis of recommendations in this workshop.
