Enhanced Emission Properties of Carbon Nanoparticles by Hydrothermal Method
Subscribe/Renew Journal
In the report presents on a multi-color fluorescent and water soluble carbon nanoparticle (CNPs) were fabricated by a facile one-step hydrothermal method by using L-Ascorbic Acid as a carbon source. Height distribution of Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) image revels CNPs are monodisperse having average size of 5.0 nm with narrow distribution. Raman analysis shows, as synthesized CNPs having sp2 hybridization of carbon having graphite crystalline structure. The CNPs could emit bright and colorful photoluminescence (PL) which covering the entire visible to Near Infrared (NIR) spectral range. Moreover, these particles also had excellent up conversion fluorescent properties over the range.
