IMTEX 2007, the international showpiece of Indian Machine Tool Industry, the largest exhibition of machine tools and manufacturing solutions in South & South East Asia, which was held during 18th to 24th January 2007 in Bangalore, generated confirmed business worth around Rs. 600 crores and enquiries for around Rs. 5,000 crores. The 7-day event, was inaugurated by Shri. Kamal Nath, Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, who pointed out to the emergence of India as the hub of manufacturing activity in Asia and the need to emerge as the gateway to Asian market.
