Role of Associations in Promoting Garment Industry at Tirupur

Garment industry has the pride of place in contribution to developing the economy of our nation. A number of economic activities happen in production of knitted garments and exports in Tirupur and the place can be considered as a world leader in the knitted garment industry. This article focuses on knitting business at Tirupur, growth of the industry and the association's involvement for the development of the industry; augment the scope of textile and knitwear interest and knowledge among the youth. The committees and associations involved have initiated to bring up a business school to extend the knozvledge on exporting and merchandising.
