Executive Summary Indian IT industry has come a long way covering numerous obstacles. The growth of the industry was not that much smooth during the initial years. The sector had not got that much support as expected from the government and various other stakeholders. Just after independence the major focus of the policy makers was to concentrate on industrial sectors. Objective was to believe in an industrial growth mechanism which not only made the country self sufficient but also created employment opportunities.
