The cryptographic and encryption algorithms are mainly employed to ensure the security of data. The usage of chaotic functions in these algorithms can further enhance the security because of their random and unpredictable character. These algorithms make use of substitution box(S-box). In this paper a chaos-based S-box has been proposed which provides more randomness to data. The proposed S-box has been checked against attacks.

Abstract

The cryptographic and encryption algorithms are mainly employed to ensure the security of data. The usage of chaotic functions in these algorithms can further enhance the security because of their random and unpredictable character. These algorithms make use of substitution box(S-box). In this paper a chaos-based S-box has been proposed which provides more randomness to data. The proposed S-box has been checked against attacks.
