Bor Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Wardha District in the state of Maharashtra. The Sanctuary covers an area of 121.1 km2, which includes the drainage basin of the Bor Dam. The Sanctuary is located at a distance of around 60 km from Nagpur city. It is situated in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, which is characterized by mild winters and extremely hot summers. The Sanctuary has South Deccan Plateau dry deciduous forests.
