The unsteady laminar flow of a dusty viscous airflow with uniform distribution of dust particles during inhalation in the trachea of the human respiratory tract under the influence of time dependent exponential pressure gradient have been investigated. The governing equations are solved analytically by using Hankle transformation. The effect of dust parameters are the mass concentration of the dust ′f′ and relaxation time ′τ′ on velocity and wall shear stress of clean air, air with fine dust particles are computed graphically.

Abstract

The unsteady laminar flow of a dusty viscous airflow with uniform distribution of dust particles during inhalation in the trachea of the human respiratory tract under the influence of time dependent exponential pressure gradient have been investigated. The governing equations are solved analytically by using Hankle transformation. The effect of dust parameters are the mass concentration of the dust ′f′ and relaxation time ′τ′ on velocity and wall shear stress of clean air, air with fine dust particles are computed graphically.
