Magnetoultrasonic Characterization of Piezoelectric Crystals-Amplification of Waves
Investigations are made for the effect of external magnetic field on the wave generated as a combination of both electrical and ultrasonic vibrations from piezoelectric crystals by the application of an alternating voltage from a resonant frequency oscillator. The Lorentz field developed influences the amplitude of the so called magnetoultrasonic wave. Mathematical expressions derived for waves propagating in the second liquid medium are analyzed and observations made are in qualitative agreement with experiment as regards amplification due to frequency of the oscillator, other parametric constants of the media and external magnetic field.
