Acoustic methods have been applied to estimate the effective Debye temperature (θD) of liquid mixtures (binary and ternary). The theoretical approach, employed earlier, has been completely modified, and a new approach has been suggested. Six binary and six ternary liquid mixtures have been undertaken for computing the values of effective Debye temperature using the present approach. Theoretical values have been compared with the standard findings, and quite good agreement has been achieved. The necessary experimental data needed have been taken from literature.

Abstract

Acoustic methods have been applied to estimate the effective Debye temperature (θD) of liquid mixtures (binary and ternary). The theoretical approach, employed earlier, has been completely modified, and a new approach has been suggested. Six binary and six ternary liquid mixtures have been undertaken for computing the values of effective Debye temperature using the present approach. Theoretical values have been compared with the standard findings, and quite good agreement has been achieved. The necessary experimental data needed have been taken from literature.
