Study of Ultrasonic and Thermal Properties of Materials for Industrial Applications

The whole thesis is divided into two sections which comprise eight chapters. In section A, the effort has been made to develop a theoretical approach for the evaluation of second order elastic constants (SOECs) and third order elastic constants (TOECs), ultrasonic attenuation, velocity and other associated parameters in different type of crystalline materials at different physical conditions like temperature, pressure, orientation, etc. These advanced materials are very useful for many industrial applications. The section B describes experi-mental work, deals with the development nanoparticles-liquid suspensions (nanofluids) and studies of the thermal and ultrasonic properties depending upon temperature and concentration of the nanoparticles for the purpose of industrial applications.
