Each of these notifications can provide added value in terms of content for smartphone users, but they can also cause disruption and interruption. As a result, advertisers must understand how the frequency with which messages are delivered affects consumer acceptance. The Prisma method is used to conduct the systematic review, which identifies a total of 18,725 potentially relevant scientific papers. Push notifications are appropriate for encouraging users to use an app and establish new habits, according to the 17 research articles included in the qualitative synthesis. App usage rises with frequency, with very active users tolerating higher rates. At the same time, it is demonstrated that too high is not a good thing. Because a frequency can be perceived as bothersome, users should be given the option to choose the frequency with which they get information. Notifications.
