Aggression and Resilience Among Adolescents
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Aggression is the intentional harming of another characterized by verbal or physical attack. It may be driven by emotional arousal or it may be instrumental to secure a goal action intended to harm someone. Aggression is any behavior directed towards any object or person with the intent to cause harm or injury directly or indirectly - physically, verbally, psychologically or socially. Physically, it would refer to acts like kicking, hitting, etc.; verbally, it would refer to verbal attack, sarcastic remarks, shouting, etc; psychologically, it would include distrust, cynicism, etc.; and socially, it would involve giving public statements, tampering a person's image, defaming a person, etc. (Baron & Richardson, 1994; Trama & Saini, 2005b). The present attempts to study different forms of aggression i.e. anger, hostility, physical and verbal aggression in relation to resilience among adolescents.
