For this study, a sample of sixty clerical level employees and managerial level employees of bank organisation was taken. Stress level was measured by using Occupational Stress Index Scale by Snvastava and Singh (1981) and it's co-relates were measuredby a tailor-made Ratmg Scale. Results revealed managers to be significantly more stressed than clerks (1=4.64**). Correlations between stress and its correlates exhibited that managers were stressed because of their working hours, adverse work conditions, work climate, family problems and up-gradation of technology while clerks were more stressed because of theirresponsibihty towards higher level, workload, working hours and up-gradation of technology.
