Abstract

According to Persian myths, the devil is a creature that stands against Ahura Mazda, the Supreme Being represented as a deity of goodness and light in Zoroastrianism. When the devil spirit sees the Ahura Mazda clerics he assaults the light boundary and is defeated. But it decides to create some creatures to resist divinely creatures. Angare Miniu as a devilish spirit is the leader of the group of devils and spooks that intends to destroy the world (Hinles, 2010: 80). "According to Avesta, a large group of devilish and criminal creatures whose task is to do bad things in the world stands against Amshasepandan as a group of holy and pure heavenly creatures that assist Ahura Mazda to create and protect the universe" (Safa, 1973:606).
