This paper is portrayed with finding the Economic Order Quantity, EOQ for an inventory model with Weibull deterioration rate and shortages under fuzzy environment. In the existing literature general ramp type function of time is adopted. This model aids in minimizing the total inventory cost to find an optimal replenishment policy. Moreover, it is shown that taking inflation into account has a profound effect on the solution of the problem. . The inventory model is suggested under crisp and fuzzy environment. Therefore the estimate of total costs for each case is derived by using signed distance technique for defuzzification and get minimum expected cost. Simple solution procedures are proposed to efficiently determine the optimal costs for two different cases of the considered problem and provided some numerical illustration.

A descriptive design was adopted. purposive sampling technique with 50 samples were adopted for the study. Structured interview schedule Consisted section A deals with the selected background factors, Section b consisted of knowledge questionnaires regarding Diabetic ophthalmic complications among type 2 diabetic patients. The content validity of the tool was established by 5 experts and reliability was established through test -retest method using Karl pearson coefficient of correlation r’- was found to be 0.7 to above mentioned parts of structured interview schedule. The data were collected personally by the investigators and data were interpreted in terms of the objectives and research hypostesis using descriptive study and inferential statistics. The majority of the knowledge of patients on various aspects of Diabetiogenic Ophthalmic complications, the mean percentage of total knowledge score was 53.72% with mean ±SD of 16.04±5.46. The findings of the study reveal that most (48%) of the samples had inadequate knowledge, about (34%) of them had moderate knowledge, and (18%) had adequate knowledge on diabetogenic ophthalmic complication among type 2 diabetic patients from selected hospitals Chitradurga. Keywords
