South Andaman Island, one of the main constituents of the 'Great Andaman' group is characterized by dense tropical forests. The tropical forests of the island together with the surrounding small islands which form the South Andaman Forest Division with an area of 1665 km2 was studied for its regeneration status, composition and species diversity of commercial tree species both in the logged (worked) and unlogged (unworked) areas. It was noticed that the tree layer in unlogged forest was dominated by Dipterocarpus spp.(Gurjan) (IVI- 90.49), Knema andamanica (Jaiphal) (IVI- 48.14) and Tetrameles nudiflora (Thitpok) (IVI- 29.28) respectively in Evergreen, Semievergreen and Deciduous forests. In logged forests, Knema andamanica (IVI- 91.44), Dipterocarpus spp. (IVI- 38.94) and Pajanelia longifolia (Jhingam) (IVI- 30.73) dominated in Evergreen, Semievergreen and Deciduous forests respectively. For all the three types of forests, the co-efficient of similarity between logged and unlogged areas of each forest type was more than 50%. The composition of these species need to be maintained to manage these fragile areas so that the biodiversity rich areas are intact in its natural form. Keywords

The present paper examines the extent of disparities in social and economic condition by social group in the village Hassangarh (Haryana). Disparity on the basis of caste has been common in social economic and political spheres as well as settlement for generation. The present paper is largely based on household level primary data. The level of literacy analysed considering the importance of education as a strong agent of socio-economic development. In the village about 69.2% population is literate. The gender disparity index for the village as a whole is 0.19. The backward castes are observed in below matric level of education. Children (below 15 years) comprise more than 18.9 percent of total population in the village. Among the caste group, higher castes have recorded highest proportion of children i.e. 25.0 percent. The sex ratio in the village is about 97.2. The work participation rate in the village is about 37.42 percent. The average per capita monthly expenditure in the village is Rs. 972.Keywords

Weather forecasting is the application of science and technology to predict the state of atmosphere for the future time and a given location. Human beings have attempted to predict the weather informally for the millennia and formally since at least the nineteenth century. Weather forecasts are made by collecting quantitative data about the current state of atmosphere and using scientific understanding of atmosphere processes to reject the atmosphere will evolve. Gibson (1959) defined PERCEPTION as the process by which an individual maintains contact with the environment. Perception is what we want to perceive from information. Perceptions vary from person to person. Different people perceive different things about the same situation. But more than that, we assign different meanings to what we perceive. It was concluded from the observation that most of the respondents had low perception level about weather forecasting advisory services in Hisar and Kaithal district. Most of the respondent had high belief in traditional weather forecasting pattern than scientific weather forecasting. The most important thing is that farmers are not interested in knowing the economic benefits of weather forecasting advisory services. It was also noticed from this survey that weather forecast advisory services will be more readily adopted if the agricultural extension services are improved. It was also observed that weather forecast affects the farmer's decision to small extent. Keywords

There is great need of sustainable management in the agricultural sector of the world economics. Accurate and timely forecast of rainfall pattern and other weather variable continue still be a major challenge and preoccupation for the scientific community to sustain the agricultural development. The dictionary meaning of constraints are 'confinement', the exercise to force to determine or 'confine action, 'bound' and 'flattered condition' and restriction of liberty. The major constraints in using the weather forecasting information as may be seen from the table. The possible reasons as reported by the respondents for these problems are as follows: Absence of location specific weather forecasts was the major problem because the forecasts usually cover a wider area and speculation exists among farmers. Poor reliability of weather forecasts was a problem because of lack of certainty of information. Hence, farmers lack trust in the forecasts. One of the most serious constraint was that mostly weather forecasting was not timely forecast at the time of flood and drought and success rate was also very low. Corinne et al. (2000) reported that many felt that weather pattern in Andean semi and region had changed and traditional indicators were not as they were in the past. However, they have not been replaced or modified to date. Constraints regarding the understand ability of weather forecasting information. It was found that belief about weather forecast was more powerful than modern weather forecasting in farmer's view was one of the most serious constraints. All the constraints can be minimized by providing guidance to the farmers and by distribution literature and training regarding technicality of weather forecasting advisory services to the farmers. Keywords

Nanotechnology can be used in many different areas of design and construction processes since, nanotechnology generated products have many unique characteristics. These characteristics can, again, significantly fix current construction problems, and may change the requirement and organization of the construction process. Forum as termed in the American Heritage Dictionary is a "public place or medium for open discussion". This project is aimed at developing an interactive online forum for researchers pursuing research on nanomaterial. Any user can post their queries related to Nanomaterial and discuss with other researchers. This forum will serve as an abling platform for sharing information and knowledge related to nanomaterial for construction, medicine, cosmetics and etc. Keywords
