Population aging is one of the humanity's greatest triumphs. India is facing the biggest challenge because of alarming rise in elderly population. So the concern about the psychosocial well-being of geriatrics is a key research agenda for researchers. The present study is an attempt to explore the level of hope, spirituality and subjective wellbeing of elderly. Apurposive sample consisted of 200 old people of both sex (male and female) age 60-80 years was selected from the urban area of Rohtak city. Descriptive statistics was calculated to find out the levels of hope, spirituality and subjective well-being. Results revealed that high level of hope and spirituality and average level of subjective well-being among geriatrics. Further stepwise multiple regression revealed that hope than spirituality emerged as a robust predictor of subjective well-being. The manifest psychological strengths may serve as a cause of longevity among contemporary geriatrics.Keywords

Creativity is the ability to produce Novel and appropriate ideas, which act as very crucial elements of present human lifestyle. It helps to produce more and more innovative ideas. On the other hand, hope is also a very important element of life. It is a vital motivator of positive living. Psychologists operationally divide hope into two components, Pathways and Agency. Agency is related to one's capability to achieve goals, while Pathways consultant with the ability to generate alternative ways to achieve different goals. It was expected that a creative person would be found high on sense of hope. The present discussion aims to study relationship between creativity and hope. A purposive sample of 442 VIIth to IXth grade students of both genders, aged 12 to 15 years were selected from the Urban Area of Delhi. Result shows that there were Gender differences as well as interaction effect between creativity and hope. It was found that Creativity is closely related to hope. Findings of the present study can be applied on different School curriculum to raise the creativity level or level of hope amongst adolescents while they are facing different obstacles in their life.Keywords

Modern era is an era of advance technology. Human agency is key, because the technological effects depend upon how people decide to use it. In the contemporary digital world, the millennial can never think of the world without the internet, consequently youngsters invest more efforts to be in touch with their closer ties and thus reap maximum benefits while interacting with others. They feel happy and empowered while living in a virtual world. With these notions in mind the present researcher decided to conduct a study to highlight the level of happiness and internet usage among adolescents and to explore the relationship between these two variables while controlling other confounding variables (such as socio-economic factors) leading to happiness. A purposive sample of 60 adolescents, 13-18 years old both male and female was drawn from schools of Rohtak city, Haryana (India). Their happiness level was measured by Argyle et al. questionnaire of Oxford Happiness and internet usage was assessed by Young's Internet Addiction test. The levels of happiness and internet usage were analyzed by computing descriptive statistics and their correlation was found by using Pearson r. The findings and their implications have been discussed in the paper.Keywords
