Pachmarhi biosphere reserve is one of the richest biodiversity regions of Madhya Pradesh. Various weeds are abundant in the croplands as well as in the forests of this regions. They frequently grow on wasteland, roadsides and croplands. Aboriginals consider these plants as obnoxious weeds since these plants pose several problems in croplands and daily life. Several obnoxious weeds are highly efficacious as herbal remedies against some common ailments. In the present commnnication, ethno medicinal usages along with indigenous formulations of 35 species of weeds are documented from different ethnic group of Pachmarhi biosphere reserve (Madhya Pradesh).Keywords

Objectives: It is a challenging task to generate and identify an optimal test set that satisfies a robust adequacy criterion, like data flow testing. A number of heuristic and meta-heuristics algorithms like GA, PSO have been applied to optimize the Test Data Generation (TDG) problem. The aim of this research work is to handle the automatic Test Data Generation problem. Methods/Statistical Analysis: This research work focuses on the application of Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm guided by a novel Fitness Function (FF) for TDG problem. The construction of FF based on the concept of dominance relations, weighted branch distance for ABC to guide the search direction. Ten well known academic programs were taken for experimental analysis. The proposed algorithm is implemented in C environment. Findings: To examine the effectiveness of ABC algorithm in Test Data Generation, ten academic programs were taken experiment. The effectiveness of proposed algorithm is evaluated using average number of generations and coverage percentages achieve parameters. The experimental results show that proposed ABC algorithm requires less number of generations in comparison to other algorithms. It is also noted that the proposed algorithm coverage almost all def-path for all programs. Application/Improvements: The experimental results depict that the ABC algorithm performs far better than other existing algorithm for optimizing test data.Keywords

Mining operation exerts long lasting effects on the ecosystem and environment. The key impact includes deforestation, degeneration and degradation of natural resources, environmental pollution, health risk, ecological and socio-ecological instabilities. The magnitude of impact depends on the methods, scale and mining activity concentration, technological interventions etc. The study was carried out in three plantation sites to evaluate the floristic structure, composition, diversity and litter biomass. In different sites a total of 4 tree species, 5 sapling species, 18 seedling species and 7 shrub species were found. A total of 440 trees ha-1 were encountered in eucalyptus plantation, 480 trees ha-1 in teak plantation and 960 trees ha-1 in mixed plantation. The total density of saplings, seedlings and shrubs ranged from 60-860 saplings ha-1, 2400-8960 seedlings ha-1 and 240-960 shrubs ha-1, respectively, across the sites. The total litter biomass varied from 1.98-4.01 t ha-1, being lowest at teak plantation and highest under eucalyptus plantation. The mining activities resulted in an appreciable damage to natural vegetation and its dynamics. A long term strategy is essential for restoration and conservation of the fragile ecosystem of collieries.Keywords

Recently NDA Government, led by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has started many new schemes of financial inclusion to achieve the target of complete financial inclusion. Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), PM MUDRA Scheme, Atal Pension Yojana (APY), are those schemes announced by Modi Government and targeted to provide different key financial services to the poor. On the basis of Government reports, it is being found that Government is claiming to open bank account of 99 percent households under the PMJDY scheme. Similarly, very adorable claims have also been made by Government related to other schemes. Under Mudra scheme nearly 8.5 crore loan account have been opened, which covers nearly 35 per cent of total households. Similarly as per data provided by Government on the website of PMSBY, PMJJBY, and APY nearly 9.6 crore (38.85%), 3 crore (12%), and 18 lakh (0.72%) households have been covered respectively.
Present study attempts to assess the above adorable claims of the Government with the help of field level observation collected through well structured questionnaire from Atrauli and Jabrauli villages of Lucknow District. In the analysis, it has been found that there is very big difference between the claim of government and ground realities. It has been identified that unawareness of villagers about these schemes and provisions made under these schemes, as one very important reason behind not getting the benefits of these schemes. As awareness is being identified as key variable for availing the benefit of government schemes, paper tries to explain the level of awareness with help of socio-economic characteristics and financial behavior of households using binomial logistic regression model.
