The entitled research finding, glimpse, incredulously led to track the emerged constituent from the ischolar_main's of Syzygium cuminii (L) skeel, on the atlas of phytochemical, chromatographic, spectroscopic data, chemically it is designated as compound (1) 3,5,7-trihydroxy-2-(3,4,5trihydroxypheny)-4H-1-benzopyrone-4-one.gentobios, (ScReX-5), compound (2) 3,5,7-trihydroxy-2-(3,4,5-trihydroxy phenyl)-4H-1-benzopyrone-4-one,5-glycosid (ScReX-6b). Alt on the assessment of anti-hyperglycemic activity in alloxan induced diabetic rat model, the adopted methodology manifest; legendary results to maintain, the increased blood glucose level to normal. Moreover the restoration of decreased body weight to normal level was also observed.Keywords

The present study was carried out to investigate the analgesic activity of the prepared formulation 50mg/kg and 200mg/kg body weight in the form of gel on albino rats by Tail immersion method. The different dose level of prepared gel was applied to the rat according to the body weight to the tail which is marked at 5cm and was subjected to analgesic activity. The significance analgesic activity is observed after 1/2 hr of the application which was compared with standard dichlofenac gel, the activity decreased after 2 hr of the application. The gel was prepared from the isolated constituents of syzygium cuminii (L) skeel ischolar_main extract. The aim of the work is to prepare such a formulation which is having natural analgesic activity. The expected result from the formulation was obtained for first time. The further work is going on in our laboratory.

The object of this review is to highlight the importance of multipurpose indigenous plant Zizyphus mauritiana Lamk Belonging to the family Rhamnaceae . It has been used for centuries as folk remedy in India to treat different disease such as antidiabetic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and neurological disorders such as sedative hypnotics, overine complication. It contain several constituent belonging to category alkaloide, Glycoside , flavanoids, triterpinoides, steroids and fruit pulp contain important nutrients . There are five reports are available on the clinical uses of this plant. Indeed the purpose is to outline the Research student to explore the Phytochemistry and pharmacology of indigenous system of medicine. This was a simple tribute to focus on the economical importance of Indian medicinal plants.Keywords

The prevalence of isoxazole cores in natural and biologically active molecules has stimulated the need for elegant and efficient ways to make these heterocycles as lead. A systematic investigation of this class of heterocycle revealed that isoxazole containing pharmacoactive agent's possess analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities. 4-(5'- substituted-aryl-4,5'-dihydro-isoxazole-3'-yl-amino) phenols possessing potent biological activities. N-(4'- hydroxyphenyl) acetamide (2) was synthesized by the condensation of p-amino phenol (1) with acetyl chloride by refluxing in alkaline medium for 20 minutes. 3-substituted N-(4'-hydroxyphenyl) propanamides (3a-g) were prepared by the reaction of N-(4-hydroxy phenyl) acetamide with various substituted aryl aldehydes by refluxing for 6 hours in ethanol. The resultant compounds on refluxing for 6 hours with hydroxylamine hydrochloride gave the title compounds 4-(5'-substituted-aryl-4', 5'-dihydro-isoxazole-3'-yl-amino) phenols (4a-g). The synthesized derivatives have been characterized by FT-IR, 1HNMR and Mass spectral analysis. All the derivatives synthesized were screened for their anti-bacterial and antifungal activities at the concentration level of 100 μg/ml by cup-plate method. Some of the compounds such as 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d and 4f have shown significant antibacterial and antifungal activity when compared to standard drugs Ciprofloxacin (antibacterial activity) and Clotrimazole (antifungal activity). The results obtained indicate that, when the phenyl group at 5th position of isoxazole nucleus contains the substituents as electron withdrawing atoms/groups particularly at ortho and meta positions could be a decisive factor for the compounds to have the increased potency over the other positions.

We present here in vitro antioxidant activity of butanolic extract of the ischolar_main’s of Syzygium cuminii (L) skeel belonging to the family myretacea. Antioxidant activity was determined by two in vitro methods- reducing power and DPPH. Activity-guided fraction leads to the isolation of three constituents; the results are compared with standard ascorbic acid. The further study is in progress to isolate these constituents in higher quantity and to screen them for antidiabetic and antioxidant activity in pure isolated chemical constetuent.Keywords
