The effects of planting time and plant densities on yield per hectare, quality and cost of production were investigated in garlic (Allium sativum L.). Yield in garlic decreased significantly with delay in planting. Maximum yield (88.75 q/ha) was recorded in early planting on November 1st, while a progressive decrease under plant densities. Maximum yield (109.51 q/ha) was obtained with higher density treatment with 900 plants/plot spaced at 10 x 5cm. Maximum net returns of Rs. 1,30,382 per hectare recorded with 900 plants/plot with spacing of 10 x 5 cm but the highest benefit cost ratio (B: C ratio) was observed in 1st November planting with 300 plants/plot spaced at 20 x 7.5 cm (0.54:1). The quality parameters like TSS, reducing sugars, sulphur and ascorbic acid content were recorded at par in all the treatment combinations. Keywords

In image steganography, a number of data hiding schemes have been proposed and data has been hidden using them. Among these, the usage of mind-teasers and puzzles like Sudoku has also been used as schemes to hide data. In this paper, the territory of puzzle usage as data hiding scheme in image steganography is extended. A novel data hiding scheme based on Ken Ken puzzle is proposed. Though the Ken Ken puzzle is similar to the existing Sudoku technique of data hiding, the inherent difficulty involved in solving a Ken Ken puzzle is leveraged in this method and the final results after embedding data are then analyzed in terms of the visual quality of the stego-image obtained. This is done by means of certain quality metrics available to test the resulting image quality. The proposed system has been found to enhance the graphical quality of the resulting stego-image when compared to the existing system. Keywords

Complete aerodynamic design and characterization of ascent as well as descent phases of Reusable Launch Vehicle-Technology Demonstrator (RLV-TD) have been obtained through thousands of wind tunnel tests, flow simulations using various computational fluid dynamic codes and tailor-made engineering codes. The evolution of the ascent and descent designs, aerodynamic characterization and flight performance is presented in this article. The flight data comparison of aerodynamic coefficients, control surface loads, pressure distribution and external acoustic levels with preflight data is good and therefore, providing confidence in using the ground-based data generation techniques along with defined dispersion bands. Some of the minor deviations in the performance observed in flight were resolved/understood in the post-flight analysis, whereas few effects observed in flight need further understanding. Keywords
