This study was done to identify the general recognition for the nursing jobs can be delegated to nurse aides and compare for recognition between college students and public. Participants were 288 college students and 99 people. Data were analyzed by SPSS 18.0 using descriptive statistics. The nursing jobs of highest score that can be delegated to nurse aides were “Assistmovement”(3.29 ±0.68). The next jobs were “Assist dining(3.24 ±0.71)”, “Assist ambulation(3.20 ±0.71) in order. But the nursing jobs of lowest score that can be delegated to nurse aides were“Opium therapy nursing care”(1.84 ±0.98). The next jobs were “Intra venous inject”(1.86 ±1.00), “Intra muscle inject”(1.90 ±0.98), “Transfusion”(1.90±0.99), in order. The nursing jobs of highest recognition gap between college students and public was “Opium therapy nursing care”(t=4.720, p=0.000). The next jobs were “Intra-venous inject” (t=4.482, p=0.000),“Anticoagulant medication” (t=4.379, p=0.000), “Nutrition for dialysis patients(t=4.033, p=0.000) in turns”. Subjects were recognized that nursing jobs to assist or help for patents to move or dine can be delegated to nurse assistants. But critical or dangerous nursing jobs like as opium management or IV and IM medications cannot be delegated. IV or IM medication has been doing by nurse assistants in Local hospital or clinic. Which nursing jobs can be done by or delegated to nurse assistants must be studied and mandated in Law.Keywords

This study was aimed to identify the effects of debated teaching methods on nursing ethical value and learning outcomes. Learning outcomes consisted of teamwork skill, problem solving ability, and communication ability. Data were collected from 128, 2nd grade students of nursing college located in C city of Chungnam province in Korea. The data were analyzed using paired t-test to compare means pre and post average of the variables. Nursing ethical value was changed to higher (3.75 ± 0.33, t = –2.687, p = 0.008) and problem solving ability was moved to higher, significantly (3.79 ± 0.38, t = –3.315, p=0.001). Teamwork skill was changed (3.94 ± 0.45, t = –1.366, p = 0.174). Communication ability was moved to higher (3.74 ± 0.36, t = –1.536, p = 0.127). After the class, nursing students’ view point was moved to deontology from utilitarianism. And problem solving ability was improved. Debate methods is a good teaching model and very useful for ethic class.Keywords

Background/Objectives: This study was aimed to identify the relationship between the job stress and stress coping pattern of clinical nurse caring for foreign patients, and the level of the variables. Methods/Statistical analysis: Data was collected at a tertiary medical center located in Seoul, from September 2 to September 13 in 2013. Total subjects were 241. Data was analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation using PASW 18.0 program. Findings: Job stress of the subjects was 2.91(±0.55). Nursing practice, one sub factor of the job stress variable was 2.80 (±0.55). Interpersonal relationship, one sub factor of the job stress variable was 2.80 (±0.55). Hospital administration and management, another sub factor of the job stress variable was 3.12 (±0.75). Job stress and stress coping was correlated positively (r=0.559, p<0.000). Especially, stress on the hospital administration and management turned out to be more related with significance of active coping (r=.50, p=.000). Improvements/Applications: This study shows that in order to reduce job stress of clinical nurses related to foreign patients responding, individual effort is needed to progress in foreign languages and financial support will have to be established.Keywords
