The potential of the internet economy demands newer business models and all-round information systems. The cross-enterprise business process requires high co-ordination of the customers and the suppliers, taking less time and high outcomes. To exploit this potential of the internet economy, companies are involved in a painstaking process of designing its information systems for future development. A variety of techniques available to implement the ecommerce includes EDI, electronic markets and Internet e-business. These techniques are implemented using various technologies like WAP, Bluetooth, Mobile computing and many others. Developer tools are required to implement the technologies includes various web tools like J2EE, ASP, Visual Basic, WAP (WML/WSL), DHTML, C++, Powerbuilder, Informix/4GL. It also involves web/application servers like commerce server by Microsoft, Allaire JRun, IBM websphere and Integration platforms like Microsoft Biztalk servers, DataJunction adapters, EAI, etc. At the end, the paper gives a case study for Secure Online Retail Selling Industry which represents how a traditional selling system can convert itself into ebusiness system with a better performance.Keywords

Ovarian germ cell tumours comprise approximately 15% to 20% of all ovarian neoplasms. In pregnant females, its incidence is very low. They arise from primordial germ cells derived from the embryonal gonad. Malignant germ cell tumours comprise less than 5% of all ovarian neoplasms. Most malignant ovarian neoplasms in pregnant women are at early stages and are associated with good prognosis both for the mother and for the neonate. Histologic subtypes and prognosis do not differ from tumors not associated with pregnancy. Careful initial surgery with adequate staging biopsies followed by combination chemotherapy can greatly improve the prognosis of these patients. We present a case of malignant mixed germ cell tumor in a pregnant female who presented with abdominal mass after delivering a normal child. Histological and biochemical tumour markers confirmed it to be malignant mixed germ cell tumor.Keywords

This study was conducted to investigate the antioxidant effect of the ethanolic extracts of the leaves of Glycosmis pentaphylla, Bauhinia variegata and the whole plant of Leucas aspera. The antioxidant activity was evaluated by various antioxidant assays, including 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,22 -azinobis (3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), nitric oxide and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) scavenging method. The antioxidant activities were compared to standard antioxidant ascorbic acid. Ethanolic crude extract of the plant Leucas aspera showed maximum significant antioxidant activity in DPPH, ABTS, nitric oxide and H2O2 scavenging methods. The findings of the present study suggested that all the three plants could be a potential natural source of antioxidants and could have greater importance as therapeutic agent in preventing or slowing oxidative stress related degenerative diseases.Keywords

The wide-ranging services of the Internet have caused the rapid increase of bandwidth requirements on the access networ that can be achieved by relying on fiber optics for future networks. OCDMA is a technology to realize multiplexing transmission and multiple access by coding in the optical domain, supporting multiple simultaneous transmissions in the same timeslot, space and frequency. It is another technology of multiplexing and multiple access. Performance of OCDMA is based on coding techniques. Through this communication various codes for these networks proposed by researchers are discussed like zero cross correlation codes, Perfect Difference Code Set based , optical orthogonal codes, Quasi optical orthogonal codes ,Constant Weight Symmetric OOC, Constant Weight Asymmetric OOC, Variable Weight OOC, Prime Codes, Modified Prime Codes, Time Spreading codes , Frequency Hopping Codes, Linear Congruence codes, Quadratic Congruence codes, Extended Quadratic Congruence codes, Bipolar Codes , Costas Arrays e.t.c and the codes proposed by authors based on two models A and B .Based on their methodology comparison thereof is drawn that the codes given by researchers are easy to construct and have good properties.

Objectives: This paper compares theoretically the thermal variations in normal tissues, clean surgical wound and contaminated surgical wound in peripheral tissues of human arm and leg during inflammatory phase of healing. Methods/Statistical Analysis: One dimensional finite element model is developed using Bio-heat equation.Values of arterial blood temperature, core body temperature and heat transfer coefficient have been revised. During inflammation blood perfusion rate and metabolic heat generation rate are considered linearly dependent on temperature and spatial coordinate, and exponentially dependent on time.The effect of vasodilation and effect of rate at which vascular changes occur, on temperature profiles,is investigated by varying value of linear coefficient of temperature dependence and coefficient of time variable respectively. Findings: A computer programme in MATLAB is developed to simulate the results. Skin surface temperature in normal tissue are simulated and validated from published experimental data. Maximum blood perfusion rate at maximum vasodilation calculated theoretically is validated with the published experimental data. Temperature difference in contaminated wound and normal tissue are simulated and validated with the published experimental data. Improvements/Applications: Normal skin temperature and thermal variations during vasodilation are modelled well by revising the values of parameters mentioned above and considering temperature dependent parameters.This information may be useful to biomedical scientists in development of treatment regimen for surgical wounds.Keywords

For any spread spectrum technology, the number of active users at a given data rate with acceptable level of BER and quality factor are highly dependent on type of sequence selected for spreading and de spreading. In this paper 3D temporal/ spectral / spatial codes based on optical orthogonal codes and different operators from algebra theory are considered at data rate up to 10 Gb/s per user with variable received power till - 36dBm for 3D OCDMA. The different models thus designed are compared in terms of eye diagram, signal strength, BER and quality factor. Performance of designed 3D OCDMA system is higher and is compared with the simulated results from other researchers available in terms of number of active users, BER and data rate.Keywords

Elliptic Curve Cryptography or Cryptosystem (ECC) is one of the public-key cryptosystem. The main advantage and benefit of ECC instead of RSA is that it gives equivalent security by using smaller key then in RSA; thereby it consumes less number of resource and also less amount of memory. There are various advantages of ECC over RSA such as low bandwidth usage, low computational time and small key size; it can also be used for image encryption. Through this paper image encryption with using ECC is presented. It discusses the encryption, compression and decryption of image using ECC on matlab as platform.Keywords

An attempt Was made to evaluate the salt tolerance behaviour of Aspergillus sp. and Bacillus sp. isolated on Brain heart infusion agar from muddy water of Bhitarkanika mangrove ecosystem by growing them under different salt concentration in broth medium . It was observed that fungus could tolerate salt stress upto 16% where as bacteria could be able to grow upto 11 %. The Aspergillus sp. showed increase in growth with the increasing concentration of NaCl where as bacteria declined its growth in this condition. It was observed that acidic metabolites was produced by fungus, therefore, its pH was decreased with the increasing level of NaCl . Simultaneously, bacteria did not show any significant changes in pH of filtrate of different saline treated cultures. The protein content in the culture filtrate of fungus increased in higher concentration of salt . However, bacteria did not behave in the same manner rather showed negative effect of salinity on growth. The present attempt made to analyze the salt stress in fungus and bacteria was of primary nature that provided us various clues to work further.Keywords

Sixty isolates of Streptomyces were isolated from heavy metal contaminated soils of different mines of Orissa.. These isolates were studied for their gram staining properties, extra cellular and fermentative activity. All cultures were branching and rods, gram positive. They showed varied performance during the biochemical and enzymatic tests and analysis. The importance of these isolates is discussed with respect to their distribution in such a extreme habitat of heavy metal contaminated soils of mines of Orissa.Keywords

The MACE telescope has recently been commissioned at Hanle, Ladakh, India. It had its first light in April 2021 with a successful detection of very high energy gamma-ray photons from the standard candle Crab Nebula. Equipped with a large light collector of 21 m diameter and situated at an altitude of ~4.3 km amsl, the MACE telescope is expected to explore the mysteries of the non-thermal Universe in the energy range above 20 GeV with very high sensitivity. It can also play an important role in carrying out multi-messenger astronomy in India.Keywords
