The Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) is environmental friendly and cost-effective which has a convenient renewable energy source and the researchers shows interest in commercializing it. To improve the overall performance of these photovoltaic cells, regular study is a mandatory one. The properties like high porosity, flexible fabrication, high thermal and chemical stability and good light-harvesting properties of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) offer its utilization as different components of DSSCs. To get an improved photovoltaic cells with enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness the conventional MOFs undergo doping and hybridization with various conducting materials like metal ions, carbon nanotubes and graphene, etc. This paper deals with the utilization of MOFs as different components of DSSCs.
