In the present scenario, health-related complications are worsening because of escalating environmental factors. Pollution of the earth has reached alarming levels. High motorization rate and unchecked industrial wastes produce massive environmental pollutants, which are the most profound factors for aggressive climatic conditions. Heat-trapping pollutants like carbon monoxide and chlorofluorocarbons are increasingly being emitted in the atmosphere. Many toxic pollutants, viz. sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, mercury and lead have crossed their threshold levels in urban and industrial regions. These pollutants have serious consequences on human health, affecting many organs and systems. They affect our respiratory system, circulatory system and nervous system by entering the blood stream. The blood–brain barrier of the central nervous system is also being disrupted due to sustained exposure. Ischaemia and haemorrhage are the most hazardous incidences of environmental pollutants in brain. It has now become a serious cause of morbidity and mortality. Pollutants like sulphur dioxide and carbon monoxide have a tendency to produce ischaemia and clump through inflammation and arterial blockage. Almost 40% of mortality is caused due to pollution-induced brain stroke. Hence, environmental pollutants are the leading cause of cerebral stroke and somatic disabilities.Keywords

Background: Alzheimer’s disease (AD), a category of neurological degeneration generally seen in elderly people which is reflected by memory loss and affecting daily living activities.
Method: The data has been accessed from scopus, pubmed, science-direct and google-scholar which is included in this article.
The literature provide the information about pathological alterations of Alzheimer disease emphasizing on formation of neuritic plaques, beta amyloid protein, neurofibrillary tangle and also updates therapeutics used in Alzheimer’s disease including cholinesterase inhibitors, ACE inhibitors, NMDA receptor antagonists, secretase inhibitors and anti-inflammatory drugs, herbal drugs and other naturals.
Results: The research on neuropathology and diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease are determinants of this study. The pathophysiology, diagnosis using biomarkers and therapeutics of disease has been summarized.
Conclusion: The aim of this review paper is to focus on how diagnosis and pharmacotherapy of Alzheimer’s disease useful for researchers engaged in the experimental research.

Water pollution is a major concern influencing human lives in many ways. It affects not only the nature of potable water, but also the health of those who consume it. Hazardous water pollutants are broadly categorized into soluble toxicants and toxic planktons. The presence of planktons in potable water causes a negative impact on the human body. The inadmissible planktons of potable water such as copepods, protozoans, helminths, anilids, blue-green algae, dinoflagellates, and diatoms can lead to severe dysfunction in the normal physiology of humans. Complications of the gastrointestinal tract, hepatobiliary system and brain result from drinking polluted water. Toxins such as cyanobacterial toxin, saxitoxin, neosaxitoxin and domoic acid are by-products of the inadmissible planktons which cause adverse effects on the human organ systems. They also derange the percentage of dissolved oxygen in the water bodies. The health-related consequences of the planktons range from cell damage to mortality.Keywords
