Abstract

A simple, rapid and precise isocratic reverse phase High Performance Liquid Chromatographic method has been developed for the determination of Thalidomide capsule. The separation was achieved with 150×4.6mm C₁₈ column using mobile phase as Acetonitrile: Dimethyl Formamide : Water (60:10:30 v/v) at a flow rate of 1.0ml/min with UV detection at 297nm. The retention time of Thalidomide was found to be 2.17min. The linearity range of Thalidomide is 25mg to 200mg with coefficient of correlation 0.9986. The method is found to be accurate, precise and useful in quality control of dosage form.

Abstract

The new simple, sensitive, accurate, precise, rapid and economical method was developed for the estimation of Triamicinolone in solid dosage form. Method is based on the absorbance. Triamcinolone maximum is found at 238 nm in methanol water solvent. The linearity was obtained in the concentration range of 3-9 mcg/ml with coefficient of correlation 0.9998. The value of ruggedness and robustness was found to be 0.2182 and 0.43 respectively. The method is found to be accurate, precise and useful in quality control of dosage form.

Abstract

The taste of a drug plays an important role in patient compliance. Ranitidine HCl is a Histamine blocker drug with bitter taste. The drug Ranitidine HCl was treated with a cation exchange resin, which forms complex with the drug and mask the bitterness of Ranitidine HCl. The loading process was optimized for the resin type, pH of loading solution and drug:resin ratio. The resin-drug complex was evaluated for taste by panel method. The rate of dissolution was studied and the drug had showed good release. These findings can be utilized to formulate a non bitter dosage form for Ranitidine HCl with good bioavailability.

Abstract

Heterobinuclear complexes have been synthesized by mononuclear complexes of 5-nitroindazole and bis-(1,2-diaminobenzophenone)malonyldihydrazone Cu(II)/Ni(II) chloride of the type [M₁L₁Cl₂M₂(L₂)₂] where M₁=Cu(II), Ni(II), M₂=Cu(II), Mn(II), Co(II), L₁=bis-(2-amino benzophenone)malonyldihydrazone L₂=5-nitroindazole. All of the complexes have been characterized by IR, UV-Vis and EPR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, magnetic moments and molar conductance measurements. The toxicity of the representative compounds has been studied against cockroaches.

Abstract

In order to locate a 150m wind monitoring tower to measure the wind characteristics, we investigated the site near Paradip, Odisha (India) to locate wind tower and collected some wind data to incorporate into the design of tubular steel tower. This paper seeks to understand the design of tubular steel tower and its performance parameter up to 150m height, also it provides the stability analysis such as static, buckling and vibration using computer optimized approach. The main objective of this paper is to explore more wind potential by measuring the wind data at 150m height and to locate a safe and economic tower at this location, it will produce more power output and would boost the economy of India in a very rapid manner which is the current major issue of our society.

Abstract

The study aims at finding the awareness and usage of online information resources among faculty members, research scholars and post graduate students in private engineering college libraries of affiliated to RGPV Madhya Pradesh. It is very important for effective use of library resources by the users. This paper gives an overview of the awareness of online information resources among library users. An attempt is made to find out the status of e-resources in engineering college libraries. The analysis of the preliminary study reveals that purpose of using online resources and extent of user’s satisfactions towards online resources.
