Abstract

The role of adult nutrition on longevity, fecundity and male: female ratio was studied in detail for Acerophagus papayae. There was significant difference in the longevity and parasitisation efficiency of the adults fed different diets. Adults of A. papayae fed on 10% and 50% honey lived for 9.00 and 7.33 days and the number of progeny was 50 and 47.8 numbers with female progenies of 41.56 and 36.37 per cent, respectively. The parasitoids fed with yeast extract along with 10% honey and dried grapes extract lived for an average of 6.00 days and 8.00 days and the number of progeny was 51.06 and 54.93 with 38.36 and 37.29 per cent female progenies respectively. The parasitoid fed with fructose lived for 4.00 days and the the number of progeny was 46.6 and percentage of female progenies was 37.16. But, parasitoids fed with water alone lived for 3.33 days and its parasitisation efficiency was 34.6 with 31.35 per cent of female progeny.

Abstract

Objectives: In the world of Internet today, most of the communications are done through Internet applications. Rapidly with the growth of Internet, the security threat on Internet is also increasing. Internet worms are one of the serious dangerous threats heavy financial losses. To overcome these damages, the proposed methodology provide better defense mechanism through Internet worm detection and containment schemes based on connection attempt failures characteristic. Method: The Internet worm detection is done using the Machine Learning Method based on Anomaly detection schemes and containment based on blocking schemes. The proposed kernelized Extreme Learning Machine with Automated Worm Containment Algorithm (kEA) method is used for detection and containment of malicious traffic from non-existing IP addresses based on connection attempt failures. Findings: Second channel based propagation through botnet worms propagates illegal traffic from malicious IP addresses through connection attempt failures. This traffic is transferred through TCP and UDP transmission schemes. The proposed work is used to identify the second channel propagating worms and containment of malicious traffic. Improvement: The proposed kernelized Extreme Learning Machine (kELM) method achieved detection accuracy improved by 23.67%. Then proposed kEA method blocks all the detected malicious IP addresses with 100% containment at the time span of 33 ms.

Abstract

Objective: Data Stream Classification is a big problem. Ensemble based learning methods are used to tackle the data Stream classification problem. Method: Methods such as Random Forest and Very Fast Decision Tree (VFDT) for classification are used in the system. Findings: This hybrid approach is an Effective method for calculating hidden data and maintains accuracy in the large data set. It also calculates the neighbors between each pair of cases that can be used in clusters. It is used for finding unknown or (by scaling) gives informational views over the data. This hybrid approach achieves 85 % accuracy and result proves that the hybrid approach performs well when compared to other algorithms in terms of accuracy. This is the application where we can download data streams of any application at faster rate. Many methods are available to process data streams. But the proposed algorithm performs well when compared to other algorithms. Applications: Many real time data streams are downloaded and uploaded to test and train various Applications. Data streams are used in many applications such as medical applications and educational applications.

Abstract

A field investigation was conducted in a Vertisol at Main Agricultural Research Station, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad during kharif 2006-07 to study the use of gold ore tailings (GOT) as a source of micronutrients on sunflower crop under irrigated condition. Application of GOT @ 1.0 t/ha along with poultry manure significantly improved yield attributing parameters eventually resulting in 22.5 and 26.5 per cent higher seed and stalk yield, respectively over control. The uptake of copper (2345 mg/kg), iron (91567.6 mg/kg), manganese (319.1 mg/kg) and zinc (284.1 mg/kg) also increased significantly due to the application of same level of GOT along with poultry manure. Similar results were observed with application of GOT alone @ 1.0 t/ha and with FYM and vermicompost.

Objectives: To built up a productive ride sharing come auto pooling application which empowers the client to go to their goals on the fly easily and reasonable subject to time, limit, and money related limitations, guaranteeing the protection and security concerns and guarantees the client for playing it safe on the goal relying upon the customized setting mindful wellbeing levels. Methods: Taxi-sharing framework acknowledges taxi travelers’ ongoing ride demands sent from advanced mobile phones. It plans appropriate taxicabs to get them through ridesharing and private riding, subject to time limit and fiscal requirements. An auto pooling choice for private auto proprietors whoever goes in a customary course. Abstract

GPS is one of the technologies that are used in a huge number of applications today. One of the applications is tracking your vehicle and keeps regular monitoring on them. This system uses GPS and GSM technologies. The level of petrol consumed and CO₂ level is also monitored using the Fuel level sensor and CO₂ sensor. The paper includes the hardware part which comprises of GPS, GSM, Atmega microcontroller MAX 232, Accelerometer sensor, CO₂ sensor, 16x2 LCD and ESP8266 module is used to interface the microcontroller to the App.

Abstract

Introduction: The success of pulpectomy is based on complete eradication of microbes from the ischolar_main canals of primary teeth. This is brought about by the combined mechanical preparation and chemical disinfection of the ischolar_main canal system. Currently, herbal agents are used as irrigants because of their low cytotoxicity. In vitro studies have been done using triphala as a ischolar_main canal irrigant in primary teeth due to its ant inflammatory and antibacterial activity. In vivo studies have not been documented in the literature in the primary teeth. Aim: The aim of this study is to compare the antimicrobial effectiveness of triphala as a ischolar_main canal irrigant in primary teeth. Materials and Methods: This randomized controlled trial was performed in primary molars which were indicated for pulpectomy. Thirty primary molars were randomly allocated to on of the two groups by which the irrigation was done: Group A: Triphala; Group B: Sterile saline. Pre and post irrigation sample was collected by using sterile absorbent paper points in a sterile Eppendorf tube containing saline as a transport medium and culturing was done by using nutrient agar and incubated for 48 hours and the mean colony count of microbial flora was evaluated. Results: Triphala as a ischolar_main canal irrigant was shown to have more antimicrobial effect in reducing the microbial flora compared to sterile saline. But, there was no statistical significant difference. Conclusion: Triphala can be used as a potent irrigating solution compared to saline and has been shown to have significant effect in reducing the microbial flora.

Abstract

Smart services are an important element of the smart city and the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems where the intelligence behind the services obtained improved through the sensory data. A smart city can make our lives energy efficient. A smart city requires some basic components such as smart phones, networks, sensors to connect the people with mobile terminals etc. ICT can be used in the home, workplace and in public facilities. The IoT in smart city covers all areas such as government facilities, lighting system, public space utilization, water, transport, traffic and building. Using these results i identify important quality and functional requirements for smart cities in quality, availability, security, interoperability and maintainability. The smart city aims to create best and sustainable use of all property, while maintain an correct reliability between social, environmental and expenses. In a smart city, maximum use is prepared of ICT to improve the performance, management, and direction of the range of system and services, with an importance on save energy, water land and other normal wealth. A smart city is prepared with different electronic elements employed by some applications, like street cameras for observation systems, sensors for transportation systems, etc. This survey carried out smart city services and security.

Abstract

Literature survey reveals that few spectrophotometric, high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC)and High performance thin layer chromatographic (HPTLC)methods were reported for the estimation of Amlodipine and perindopril in bulk and combined pharmaceutical dosage forms. But there is no any stability indicating high performance liquid chromatography study is reported for amlodipine. So the present study was aimed to development of simple, accurate, rapid and economical HPLC stability indicating assay method were established for the determination of Amlodipine and Peridopril in bulk and tablet dosage form. A High-performance liquid chromatograph WATERS, software: Empower 2,2695 separation module, 996 PDA detector, using Phenomenex Luna C18 (4.6mm×250mm) 5µm or equivalent column, with mobile phase composition of Methanol: Phosphate Buffer pH3.0 (70:30v/v) was used. The flow rate of 1.0ml min-1 and effluent was detected at 230nm. The retention time of Amlodipine and Perindopril was found to be 1.870min and 2.499minutes respectively. Linearity was observed over concentration range of 10-50µg ml-1 for Amlodipine and 16-80µg ml-1 for Perindopril respectively. The accuracy of the proposed method was determined by recovery studies and the Amlodipine was found to be 99.1% and Perindopril was found to be 98.8% respectively. The proposed method is applicable to routine analysis of Amlodipine and Perindopril in bulk and pharmaceutical formulations. The proposed method was validated for various ICH parameters like linearity, limit of detection, limits of quantification, accuracy, precision, range and specificity.
