Psychology is defined as a discipline involving the scientific study of human mental function and behaviour. Personality psychology looks at the patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviour that make a person unique. The Personality Factor Questionnaire is a multiple-choice personality questionnaire which was scientifically developed over several decades of research. The test is useful in predicting a wide variety of behaviours, such as creativity, academic success, cognitive style, empathy and interpersonal skills, leadership potential, conscientiousness, self-esteem, frustration tolerance, coping patterns, marital compatibility, and job performance. Automated psychology assessment through personality traits is a technique of automating the manual testing process currently in use. This requires a formalized “manual testing process", to currently exist in the company or organization. Automation is the use of strategies, tools and artefacts that augment or reduce the need of manual or human involvement or interaction in unskilled, repetitive or redundant tasks. Keywords

Hadoop-MapReduce is one of the dominant parallel data processing tool designed for large scale data-intensive cloud computing platforms. Hadoop Mapreduce framework requires a proficient mechanism to allocate and schedule computing resources which makes it liable to accomplish the desired preferences for the specific business application. In this paper, an analysis of a few scheduler improvement methods that improves the completion time of the job or the task has been carried out in order to facilitate a judicious choice of the scheduler based on the requirement and application expectations. Keywords

Objective: To develop a novel approach for the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using Ethanolic extract of fruits of Mallotus phillipensis. Characterizations were determined by using ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometry, FTIR, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray diffraction. The UV results showed the maximum absorption peak at range of 300-400nm. FTIR Showed the Presence of halides group, aliphatic amines group, alkenes group, alkynes, alcohols and phenol Groups. SEM showed the formation of silver nanoparticles with an average size of 30 - 100 nm. The typical XRD pattern revealed that the sample contains a mixed phase (cubic and hexagonal) structures of silver nanoparticles. Keywords

Voltage sag is defined as a decrease of RMS Voltage from 0.1 to 0.9 per unit (pu) for a duration of 0.5 cycles to 1 minute. Voltage sags are caused by short circuit faults on the system, transformer energizing, overloads and starting of large motors. In this paper voltage sag due to short circuit faults such as Line-to-ground, Line-to-Line, three Phase-to-ground faults are created in the power system network using MATLAB SIMULINK. This project deals with modeling and simulation of static var compensator (FC-TCR)in order to mitigate the voltage sag occurred due to short circuit faults. To implement Automatic control circuit of SVC using MATLAB SIMULINK and observe the simulation results with and without Automatic control circuit. Keywords

Neurological manifestations of hypothyroidism are rare and usually seen in late stages of illness. Myopathy as initial manifestation of hypothyroidism is even rarer. Muscle hypertrophy, muscle stiffness and cramps in hypothyroid patient is known as Hoffmann’s syndrome. We report a case of a fourty year old male who presented with calf hypertrophy and very high levels of creatine phosphokinase which normalised after eight weeks of treatment with levothyroxine. Keywords

Introduction: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) leads to high morbidity and mortality in both developing and developed countries. CKD as a complication of non-communicable diseases and as itself leads to huge economic burden to the individual and nation. Screening is the only measure to prevent or delay in progress of early CKD. Hence this study was undertaken in urban slum area of Mysuru with the objectives to estimate the prevalence of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) using estimated-Glomerular filtration rate and Urinary abnormalities in people residing in urban slum area of Mysuru and to find out the factors influencing Chronic Kidney Disease
Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted in the urban slum, Mysuru. A total of 828 adults above 18yrs, consenting to participate were included in the study. A semi-structured proforma was used to collect data by interview technique. Serum creatinine was used to calculate eGFR. Urine analysis was done using dipsticks.
Results: The prevalence of CKD of Stage 3 and above (using CKDEPI equation) was found to be 6.8% and proteinuria of 3.5%. Risk factors identified were age, gender, obesity, hypertension, smoking, alcohol and indigenous medicine usage.
Conclusion: Screening for CKD at PHC level with tests like S. Creatinine estimation (hence eGFR calculation) and urine dipstick analysis along with information on age, gender, blood pressure, smoking status and presence or absence of diabetes mellitus can help in implementing preventive measures at grassischolar_main level.
