Todays’ consumers are widely using digital environment to get their required things like, cosmetics, electronic gadgets, entertainment, etc. Recently consumers started to order foods through online. This induces various service providers to move towards digital environment. There are plenty of service providers who provide services for online food ordering system and it is highly preferred by young adults whose population in India is more than other groups. So, the researcher tries to find out the preference of young adults towards online food ordering applications. The researcher identified 301 young adults in Madurai market by using convenience sampling method and structured questionnaire are used to gather data from the young adults. The gathered data are analysed by using various analysing tools like, bar chart, perceptual mapping, chi-square and regression. The finding shows that young adults are giving importance to website design and security while ordering food through online. The researcher also concludes that majority of the young adults in Madurai prefer Swiggy app to order their food.Keywords

Fall armyworm (FAW), Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is an invasive insect pest of maize in India. Natural occurrence of nucleopolyhedrovirus (NPV) infection on S. frugiperda larvae was recorded in 2018 during surveys conducted in maize fields in Chikkaballapura district of Karnataka, and Coimbatore and Tirupattur districts of Tamil Nadu. A strain of S. frugiperda nucleopolyhedrovirus (SpfrNPV NBAIR1) infecting S. frugiperda was isolated from the diseased larvae; morphological and biological characteristics were studied. Electron microscopic studies showed tetrahedral-shaped SpfrNPV occlusion bodies (OBs) of size 1.64 μm. Dose–mortality bioassays revealed that first, second and third instar larvae were equally susceptible (LC50 3.71–5.02 OBs/mm2) to SpfrNPV infection. A PCR technique for detection of viral DNA in S. frugiperda NPV was developed by employing the polyhedrin gene (polh)-specific primers. The amplicon of 618 bp was amplified, sequenced and NCBI GenBank accession number was obtained (MT422725). Blast analysis revealed that SpfrNPV conserved polh gene sequence matched 100% with the reference GenBank sequence (J04333) from the NCBI database which confirmed the identity of the SpfrNPV.Keywords

Travelling is the life blood that fascinates the lives of human beings. In particular, young adults are more attracted by many tourist places and they travel to visit those places. This study aims to explore how college students in the Virudhunagar District are deciding their travel destinations. The researcher considers the factors of theory of planned behaviour to explore the travel destination decisions of college students. Specifically, the study tries to find factors that influence the attitude of students towards the intention to visit a place. A questionnaire was framed by considering factors of the theory of planned behaviour model to analyse the travelling intentions of college students. The Multistage random sampling method was used to identify 300 respondents from two arts and science colleges and two engineering colleges in Virudhunagar District. Data were collected from the identified respondents using the survey method. The collected data were analysed using correlation and multiple regression methods. The results show that the attitude of the college students plays a major role in their intention to visit a place. The results also show that the students want to enjoy a lot in the tourism place; they expect good recreation facilities and fun activities to enjoy their tour.Keywords
