Plastanoxus westwoodi (Kieffer), an ectoparasitoid of the larvae and pupae of flat grain beetle, Cryptolestes pusillus (Schoenherr), was evaluated experimentally by infesting 625g kibbled wheat in a plastic container with 100 pairs of the beetles and at 35 days after introducing 0, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 mated females of the parasitoids. Samples taken 180 days after the parasitoid was introduced showed P. westwoodi had reduced the population growth of the beetle by at least 43.08% even when only 5 mated females were introduced and by 81.31% when 50 mated females were introduced. The pest emergence was very high in the control container. Minimum pest emergence and maximum parasitism were achieved by introducing 50 mated females per container. Keywords

Dinarmus basalis (Rond.) is a larvul-pupal ectoparasitoid of Callosobruchus chinensis (Linnaeus) und C. maculatus (Fabricius). Foods like honey, sugarcane, yeast, agar, and egg yolk, affected the developmental time from egg to adult emergence or the pnnlsiloid Dinarmlls differently on C. chinensis and C. maculatus. Developmental period also vuried among sexes of the parasitoid, the male completed development within 10.41 ± (1.041 ± 0.04 days, but the female developed in 11.04 ± 0.08 days when parasitizing C. chinensis und feeding on honey. On C. maculatus and honey, the mule D. basalis completed development within 11.16 ± 0.07 davs and female took 12.09 ± 0.09 days to complete development. Boney was found to be most effective and agar was less effective host food, in terms of the developmental time of D. basalis. Keywords

An attempt was made to evaluate the potentiality of the parasitoids, Anisopteromalus calandrae (Howard) and Choetospila elegans ,(Westwood) in reducing the population of Sitophilus oryzae (L.) in wheat stored in six different types of bags (heavy jute, light jute. polythene, polypropylene. markin and nylon). Both A. calandrae and C. elegans suppressed the populations of S. oryzae in the above bags. Different types of bags showed significant effects (P A. calandrae and C. elegans as well as on parasitizaiton of S. oryzae. The highest percentage of host suppression was recorded in light jute and markin bags in case of A. calandrae and C. elegans, respectively. The percentage of parasitism higher in light jute followed by markin bags for both A. calandrae and C. elegans. Keywords
