This article proposes a high-speed secured data processing approach for an all-optical Carry Look Ahead (CLA) adder logic utilizing micro-ring resonators (MRRs). The proposed scheme facilitates high-speed arithmetic operations within the realm of all-optical nonlinear switching technology. The theoretical validation of this approach is demonstrated for a 4-bit CLA adder and is extendable to higher-order bits. Conventional methods of switching, computation, and data transmission often suffer fromincreased size, posing challenges in modern optical communication systems. To address the need for ultrafast switching, compact design, and reduced electromagnetic interference, the proposed approach leverages the innovative use of MRR as a switch, seamlessly integrating with a system in fiber (SIF). Designing the CLA adder in the all-optical domain using MRR, additional advantages are gained, such as minimizing propagation delay by computing the carry signal in advance, based on the fundamental concept of CLA adders. The optimal values of key constraints, including the ring radius and coupling coefficient, are thoroughly investigated, and the device parameters and performances are analysed. The proposed design of an all-optical CLA adder using MRR structure reinforces the theoretical foundation of the proposed scheme and has been replicated using MATLAB, accompanied by detailed mathematical descriptions, and subsequently verified.
