Using VOSViewer, techniques such as trend analysis, citation analysis, co-citation analysis, and keyword co-occurrence analysis were employed for performance analysis and scientific mapping.

Findings : The findings highlighted the temporal and spatial trend of publications, the most productive countries, journals, authors, and seminal articles, as well as the six major themes that have been studied in this domain. It also presented the emerging themes and outlined those that can be explored in future research. This study integrated the concept of risk management in the context of insurance to determine the developments and emerging themes in this area in the past five decades.

Practical Implications : From the managerial point of view, the study would help insurance companies comprehend the dynamics of risk management and would facilitate the regulators in formulating policies for better risk management and control.

Originality : To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first of its kind that undertakes a comprehensive bibliometric review to understand the research landscape of insurance and risk management. However, the study has certain limitations, including the reliance on a single database (Scopus) and certain shortcomings in the bibliometric technique itself.
2023-11-01T00:00:00+00:00 https://i-scholar.in/index.php/pijm/article/view/223650 Impact of Work Stressors on Career Commitment – A Study of Indian IT Sector Employees 2023-12-01T16:26:31+00:00 Rohan Deshpande rohan1058@gmail.com Debarun Chakraborty debarun84@gmail.com
Purpose : The present article aimed to explore the impact of IT work stressors on the career commitment of Indian IT sector employees. The main goals were to study the effects of major stressors on job satisfaction and how they affected ITians’ motivation to pursue their careers, as well as to propose an explanatory model that evaluates the predictors of ITians’ career commitment through the lenses of major stressors from the body of existing literature.

Methodology : Based on theories of conservation of resources, job satisfaction, and integrated model of career change, a research model was designed. A structured questionnaire was rolled out using convenience sampling and snowballing techniques to various Indian IT sector employees. Three hundred fifty-two complete responses were received. The hypotheses were validated using structural equation modeling in Amos.

Findings : The findings showed that ITians’ career commitment was adversely impacted due to job dissatisfaction and prevailing stressful working conditions resulting from job insecurity and heavy perceived workload.

Practical Implications : This study underscored that persistent stressful operating conditions can enervate IT employees and their engagement levels, not only with their jobs but also with their careers. It provides a useful counsel for HR departments and IT employees, emphasizing the need to strike the right balance between health and work objectives to allow the repletion of drained resources quickly to remain pursuant to the desired roadmap of a successful career.

Originality : To our knowledge, no prior study had attempted to explore the implications of Indian IT employees’ stressful dispositions toward their motivation to remain associated with this career field, and the same was the principal scope of this research.
2023-11-01T00:00:00+00:00 https://i-scholar.in/index.php/pijm/article/view/223651 Understanding Students’ Behavioral Intention to Adopt Blended Learning : Modified UTAUT Model 2023-12-01T16:26:56+00:00 Anjali Shokeen Ashish Kumar ashish_prl@gmail.com Swati Khanna swati.khanna1510@gmail.com
Purpose : The presented study explored the critical antecedents of blended learned adoption by students in India. It extended the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) with attitude (ATT) and self-management of learned (SL) as additional constructs.

Methodology : The proposed model was tested empirically using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM). The data were collected through a questionnaire from 383 New Delhi, Indian students for a period from January 2020 to December 2021.

Findings : The analysis of the data revealed that effort expectancy (EE), performance expectancy (PE), facilitating conditions (FC), and SL had significant positive effects on behavioral intention (BI) and ATT toward blended learning. The impact of socially influenced (SI) and PE on BI and ATT, respectively, was statistically not significant; FC exerted a positive influence on EE. Further, ATT was an important factor in creating BI as well as for actual usage (AU) of blended technology. The impact of BI on AU was also positive and significant.

Practical Implications : The present study made an important contribution to the extant literature by proposing a modified framework for identifying the students’ BI and actual use of blended learning. The study was expected to provide useful insights into the formulation, promotion, and implementation of blended learning in educational institutions in India. In light of the ongoing advancements in technology, it was imperative to proactively foresee and effectively manage the issues that may arise concerning its integration within the field of education. This research would facilitate institutions in anticipation of forthcoming transformations within the educational domain.

Originality : The originality of this study resides in its focus on how two mediators—ease of use and usefulness—played a pivotal role in changing students’ perceptions of blended learning. Notably, while social influence and performance expectations had no statistically significant effect on BI and ATT, respectively, enabling situations had a favorable effect on effort expectations.
2023-11-01T00:00:00+00:00
