Materials Technology Division - Overview and Way Forward

Materials Technology Division came into existence during the year 1985–1986 and is signifi cantly contributing to R&D, Testing and Evaluation, Consultancy Services and IPR. The division is equipped with advanced and sophisticated materials evaluation facilities aimed at providing technical services in the areas of materials for the power sector

Considering the signifi cance of the growth of scientific and technological advancements in the power sector for generation, transmission and distribution including renewable in the country, the division has focused its efforts in pursuance of the mission of the organization and the engineering services provided in the area of condition monitoring, renovation, modernization and life extension of power plant and equipment through diagnostic and life extension studies for achieving economy and reliability in the power sector
