Corporate scams and scandals come into light with the revelation of misdeeds and frauds generally committed by the people holding prominent executive positions on the Board. Such frauds generally involve complex ways of misdirecting funds by understating the position of the company, overstating expenses, concealing existence of liabilities, cheating the shareholders, sometimes with the help of officials from within the company as well as from other corporations. Various regulatory bodies have been established in the past decades to oversee the corporate governance of corporations all over the world however new scandals still come into light regularly. It is important to look back before looking forward and this book provide an extensive compilation of corporate collapses arising out of scams from around the globe.
