India is now better and widely connected a country due to rapid growth of telecom sector in the 21st century. Almost all facets of business have now been interconnected and the Indian telecom sector is behind this. It has played a significant role in shaping Indian Economy. Aadhaar, Mobile Number Portability (MNP), and Jan Dhan accounts are the game changing reforms and they have helped in direct subsidy transfer to someone’s account. Rural users can also be included in the target population as they too can be reached by strengthening networks in rural areas that are usually communication-starved. India like all developing economies is learning from the developed country and the impact of digital interventions is being felt by all of us.
