The book under review is a good addition to the collection of books on Human Resource Management. In many ways, this book presents to the reader in a very lucid manner—a holistic perspective around understanding of the Human Resource Management Functions in an organization. The book contains 19 chapters with each chapter describing key terms, summary, concepts review questions, project work and case studies related to the chapter topic. Chapter 1 in a very clear and concise manner covers the definition of HRM and also adequately focuses on 3P’s, i.e., People, Process and Performance. One also finds the mention about HRM evolution in India. The students of HRM may find section on essential skills of HR manager very interesting.
