The book, Intercultural Communication: The Indian Context, illustrates the research and various theories in this area in an Indian context. The authors have articulated with a single source for appreciating the extent of research that has been done in this area and its relevance to the Indian way of life. The term ‘culture’ has been a basis of keen interest to sociologists and writers alike. The book seems to be a good textbook for students as it has effective illustrations and questions at the end of each chapter. The book serves to elicit the curiosity of readers to make them understand the prominence of intercultural communication in the neo-liberal world, which is seriously missing in the contemporary education system.
