Innovation has covered a wide spectrum including business processes, human engineering, technologies, social change measures etc. It has become a rolling agenda of the corporate world. It gets frequently re-discovered as a growth enabler. The existing management across the sectors have resources, processes and technologies to support the status quo. However, even in their quest for innovations, they repeat same mistakes they made previously, and they face the same challenge of overcoming innovation stifles as they faced earlier. It happens partly due to lack of support from literature base as the results of inconclusive, inconsistent innovation research characterized by low level of explanation and scattered innovation literature. The literature including earlier researches has been made in this paper in such a manner so as to provide a concrete and comprehensive conceptual base to help both academicians and practitioners for evolving suitable action plans for their future pursuits.
