India is on her growth path with a multiple of socioeconomic issues to be reckoned with in the process. In this context, social research with a quantitative approach has a significant relevance. The book under review is a commendable addition to this field of study. It gives an extensive coverage of the quantitative research methods, and deals with two software packages (Stata and SPSS) which are in frequent use. These methods have been applied in this book in socioeconomic, environmental and developmental areas, with an integrated approach.
