The book “Organization Theory” is a detailed insight into organization theories with respect to three perspectives, i.e., modern, symbolic and post modern. It’s divided into three parts and each part has done justice in elucidating the concepts intended. The first part deals with the description of organization theory, its importance and history using different perspectives. A framework of the book is presented at page 16. Part II deals with core concepts and theories and examines the concepts presented in the framework in part I. The writer has presented her own “cultural dynamics model” (page 189) which is a valuable contribution I believe. Part III encompasses promising new ideas for future development and opens doors for further exploration.
