Abstract
The World Wide Web has drastically changed the open access model of publishing. Predatory publishing is one of the growing challenges of the open access movement. Over the last 5-6 years, predatory publishing has grown exponentially. Publishers of predatory journals do not follow the accepted norms for reviewing papers, charge huge publication processing fee and even engage in fraudulent practices. Researchers, academicians, and scientists need to be aware of these. This paper provides an overview of predatory publishing in India.
