Foreign Policy and Diplomatic Planning History between Israel and Jordan


 

The relationship between Israel and the kingdom of Jordan had extended the time of the peace agreement. In fact, informal relationships between the Israeli government and the Hashemite dynasty was unique. This unique informal relationship between the two sides had created the ground for the possibility to connect people of two different nations. A significant element that played a great role in designing the agreements between the Jordanian and the Israelis was the Palestinian conflict with Israel. This paper is divided into five main sections- each section contains subsections that related to the main point. This article starts with an introduction that describes how informal relations lead to formal relations between the two countries. The second section titled Defining the problem and Chosen topic follow historical and time sequence relationship development along with discussing the surrounding elements especially the Palestinians' connection. The third section called Situation estimate (spectrum of situations) shows why comparing to other countries in the Arab world, Jordanian relations with Israel is unique and that because of all political changes and wars, the Israeli occupation of the west bank and the signature of the peace process. The fourth part discusses the possible alternative of development include many aspects such as the security system and the entrance of a third party like the USA in the peace agreement. This section followed by operative analysis and recommendations of the authors
