Organic agriculture has been steadily growing for more than a decade and today like yesterday, the demand for organic products continues to be larger than supply. Organic agriculture offers many synergistic benefits for tackling the bio-physical and socio-economic challenges for reducing hunger, rural poverty and inequality and conserving natural resources cultural diversity. The universe of the proposed study will be the Organic farming in Nagpur District and Simple random sampling has been used. A study was designed to investigate the important factors why the farmers want to do organic farming or the reasons for the preference of organic farming over the conventional farming. we can conclude four important attributes for distinction between organic farming and conventional farming which are namely Superior output benefits, financial benefits, cooperative farming and market benefits and finally Government and documentation issues. One biggest reason why the farmers are happy doing organic farming is because of the superior quality benefits like soil health is improved, there are high water-use efficiency and organic farming preserves traditional varieties/species and high self dependency for seeds. This has resulted on the increase of the production level and improving the soil quality and better value for their farm products and improvement of their economic condition. Hence we can say “Organic farming plays an important role in increasing Production Level and Sustainable development of farming”. We find that their production has declined maximum by 10% and few that their production has declined by 20%. Whereas on the other hand we find that the farmers doing organic farming for 4 to 6 years, out of 74 farmers, 80% farmers find their production has increased or more years are more positive and are happier that their standard of living has improved. 39% farmers the production has increased by 10% whereas 40% farmers the production has increased by 20%. The farmers doing organic farming for 7 or more years we find 88% farmers the production has increased and we also find that the farmers doing organic farming for 7 years or more, their production has increased by 30%. Hence we can conclude that the production generally increases after 3years and their increase in percentage also rises gradually with the increase in the number of years their change in production increase is also more.
