Introduction of OD Interventions at Vijaya Ortho and Trauma Center (VOTC), Belagavi

Vijaya Ortho and Trauma Center is well known hospital for its services in Karnataka. They maintain good relation with the patients and provide quality services. Employees play an important role in service-based organization like hospitals. Hospitals provide health care services that are useful to our life. There is a need for improvement of work efficiency of employees at Vijaya Ortho and Trauma Center, Belagavi. Application of a realist perspective allows identifying which HRM interventions might improve performance, under which circumstances, and for which groups of health workers. Hence, an empirical research is taken up to study the extent of work efficiency of the employees at Vijaya Ortho and Trauma Center and to introduce Planned Change in terms of Human Resource Management Interventions to help improve the employee efficient at Vijaya Ortho and Trauma Center. A systematic questionnaire was prepared for data collection and SPSS was used for data analysis and Hypothesis testing The study shows that the employees are happy but there is a need for effective performance management to improve the efficiency and productivity of the employees. The researcher suggests a Model of Performance Management System for the improvement in the employee performance in the future.
