Ignorance Management-An Appendage to Knowledge Management

Knowledge management has been the buzz word of the day and the road map to knowledge fills the gaps in knowledge that is ignorance. Ignorance can be called as the mother of curiosity, which gives an immense drive towards learning. This conceptual paper focuses on the definition, meaning and nature of ignorance and ignorance management, knowledge management, the nature of knowledge and its problems. The taxonomy and types of ignorance are also mentioned in the paper. It gives a briefing on the need for a balanced view on ignorance. Whatever is the field of study or area of operation, managing ignorance is one of the thrust areas to be cared of. The principles of managing ignorance are mentioned briefly in this paper. The researcher has also added some suggestions about the management of ignorance.
