Assess the Personal Factors of Reproductive Health Among the Wome

Reproductive health is important for women during their reproductive age. Women's health issues have attained higher international visibility and renewed political commitment in recent decades. The aim of the study was to assess the personal factors of reproductive health among the women at Puducherry, India. A cross-sectional descriptive research design was adapted and 500 married women who were fulfilling the inclusion criteria were included in the study. Convenience sampling technique was adopted for the selection of samples. The data collection was done in regional language (Tamil) by face to face interview method by using structured interview schedule for each woman. The study finding was, out of 500 women, 481(96.2%) women were living with their husband, 254(51%) women were married at the age of 15-20 years,462 (92.4%) participants had satisfaction in their family life,401(80%) became pregnant within one year of their marital life, 336 (67.2%) women would like to have two children,460(92%) women were reported that they experienced happiness during pregnancy,314(62.8%) women carried out their household work by themselves, 410(82%) women had free time to take rest, 386(77.2%) women had normal delivery,357(71.4%) women were gone to Government hospital for antenatal checkup,407(81.4%) women were consumed the iron and folic acid tablets or syrup during antenatal and 486(97.2%) women were immunized during pregnancy. The reproductive health status of women at Puducherry was satisfactory. This finding will help the community people and health personnel to understand, which factors are influencing the women health beliefs and attitude towards early detection and prevention of reproductive health problems.
