The pretest reveals that the knowledge on self care management of POP cast before the structure teaching programme was (100%) inadequate. After structured teaching programme (30%) moderately adequate and (70%) adequate. There was a significant increase a level of knowledge of patients between the pretest and posttest. The following conclusions were drawn from the finding of the study the patient had inadequate knowledge regarding self care management of Pop casted limb in pretest . After administration of structured teaching programme the knowledge score was improved. So the teaching progamme improved the knowledge regarding self care management.
