Education to Mothers of under Fives on First aid Measures for Home Accidents at Nadu Arasur, Coimbatore

A study was undertaken to educate the mothers of under fives on first aid measures for home accidents at Naduarasur, Coimbatore. One Group Pre test, Post test design was adopted for the study. A convenient sample of 30 mothers who consented for the study was selected. Pretest was conducted to assess the knowledge by using the structured questionnaire which consisted of thirty three set of questions. After the knowledge assessment one to one education was given regarding first aid measures for home accidents. post test knowledge was assessed using the same questionnaire. The results revealed that in the pre test inadequate knowledge prevailed and after education there was an improvement in knowledge on first aid measures for home accidents.
