Levine’s Conservation Model of Health

The basic concepts presented in the Levine’s theory are adaptation, conservation and integrity. Adaptation is the process by which conservation is achieved, and the purpose for conservation is integrity, The conservation concepts include energy, structural integrity, personal integrity and social integrity. Levine’s concepts apply to all living human beings and according to the theory nursing is not setting specific, the theory is widely generalizable, It can be used in any setting with any human being who is suffering and willing to seek assistance from a nurse.
