In the recent past, pesticide related issues have been extensively highlighted in the media including research journals and attracted worldwide debate and sharp focus among the interested groups in India. The analysis of these pesticides in food stuffs is very complicated. It is complicated because these pesticides occur mostly in analyzed materials in very low concentrations. The present study was planned to Estimate Synthetic Pyrethroid Pesticide Residues in the Selected Cereal Grains with the help of Gas Chromatography – Mass Spectrometry (GC–MS).The estimated Pyrethroid Pesticide Residues are Cyhalothrin – I, Cyhalothrin – II, Permethrin – I, Permethrin – II, Cypermethrin – I, Cypermethrin – II, Cypermethrin – III, Cypermethrin – IV, Fenvalerate – I, Fenvalerate – II, Deltamethrin – I. For overall, all the pesticides level is less than standard value 0.1 ppm except Jowar. In Jowar, the use of permethrin is more. The residue level is 0.0299 ppm it is more than standard value. The present study suggests that the use of pesticides is increased in agricultural produce, so it has to be minimized.
